When I was a little girl my mom wasn’t around a lot because she was at school but my favourite time was when she was home and I would read The Littles to her it was my favourite book growing up along with Junnie B Jones but then my mom got busier and we could not read anymore this was fine because i was getting older and I didn’t really see tge importance of it but then I grew up even more and started to go through puberty and hate my body because it was more mature than most girls my age because of this I got and eating dissorder I wouldnt eat breakfast in the morning and I would give my lunch away at school and when I would get home I would eat a large dinner and throw it up my mom started to notice something wrong with me but didn’t pay much attention to it in fact the only time she brought my eating up was when she saw i had white hairs from mal nutrition but i told her it was nothing and she never asked again I was getting worse but then I read this book called never enough and it helped me understand that my body really is beautiful however at the same time I was struggling with depression anxiety and self harm all because things were strained at home me and my mom always argued so did me and my sister and my other sister was a drug addict that was killing herself this was really hard on me esspecially because I never fully recovered after my cousin died a year prior I was thinking about killing myself but then I started to read these books with a magical world it was The Mortal Instruments they provided an escape from the real world an escape that allowed me time to get help and stop trying to take me life.
