Reading has always been my refuge. I’ve never been one that has fit in anywhere. The only place that I have ever felt truly comfortable is between the pages of a book. Whenever I’ve had to move to a new place, books were always there to help me feel less alone. Whenever I have suffered a great loss of a loved one, books were there. No matter what is happening, books are always there to remind me that I’m not actually alone. They are there to remind me that someone out in the world has some kind of idea of how I feel. Books have always been, and will always be my best friend.
